Printing Chinese web pages on Microsoft Windows

Usually there is nothing special in printing Chinese web pages. However, if the web page can be correctly viewed in a browser window but some characters are not printed correctly, make sure that the printer driver is always using TrueType fonts. This setting can be changed (in Windows 95) as follows:

  1. Start -> Settings -> Printers
  2. Right-click the selected printer ->

    Printer selection dialog
  3. Properties -> Fonts -> Always use TrueType fonts

    Printer properties dialog
  4. Click Send Fonts As button
    Send TrueType fonts as: -> Select "Outlines" (or Bitmaps)
    Send PostScript fonts as: -> Select "In Native Format"

    Printer send fonts as dialog
  5. OK -> OK
